![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() We have a long track record of designing products that meet not only the needs of the architect, but also solve installation problems, work within manufacturing constraints and exploit market opportunities of the full. Projects include furniture for Herman Miller, cubicles and partitions for Thrislington and Newman Tonks, ceilings for Formwood, floors for Tate, balustrading for Kee Klamps, fire-fighting hardware for Noha, sign systems for Signconex, and cable-management systems for London Underground. Franke Goodwin have been working with Franke, the world-famous suppliers of stainless-steel kitchen equipment, for over 5 years. We designed the elegantly sculpted Beach sinks (left) to increase the working area in the kitchen and add a touch of glamour to domestic chores. Franke were overwhelmed by both trade and consumer response to it's innovative design it was even installed in Channel 4's infamous Big Brother house! Since the success of Beach, Goodwin have worked on further kitchen concepts, including Trio, a flexible, three-part sink and food preparation system, and an integrated unit that separates kitchen waste for easy recycling. Thrislington Our award-winning toilet cubicle and access panel systems (above left) have enabled Thrislington to grow from a tiny company into a major UK-supplier, with products being made under licence throughout the world. Showerlux The ITS shower enclosure we designed for Showerlux (left) has proved tremendously successful. The brief was to design a product that would appeal to both traditional and contemporary tastes. The solution was to create an interchangeable trim. By selecting different trim-styles, customers can alter the enclosure's 'personality' to suit their own tastes. Signconex Signature (below left) is a new range of signs for hotels, restaurants and other areas of the hospitality market. It consists of a distinctive oval plaque into which different branding plates can be inserted, enabling signs to be individualised to reflect a client's brand image. Signature is fully weather sealed and available in a wide range of sizes, finishes and styles. Noha The Norwegian fire fighting equipment company asked us to transform the humble hose (bottom left) and cabinet into a product which architects would want to specify. Using the same basic components, an array of cabinets are available including recessed, surface mount, solid and glass doors.
