Factory Design creates new products. From airline and automotive interiors to domestic appliances and leisure goods, we strive for innovation and will create new product opportunities or improve on existing ones.
We are an ideas-led design agency with a studio and workshops in west London providing strategic creative services in the design of consumer products, transport design, structural packaging, environment, new product development and futures.
We pay attention to people, we study their behaviour, we assess their needs and anticipate their expectations whether these are physical, emotional or intellectual. We combine this knowledge with a thorough understanding of our client's commercial aims and an awareness of contemporary social and market trends. Then we create new product design solutions to meet these ambitions.
Ultimately, it is our aim to help our clients develop and market appropriate, novel products that engage with and appeal to their customers, to encourage sales and increase profit while improving the consumer's enjoyment of the product and their belief in the values of the brand. We do this for clients including British Airways, Montblanc, Remington, Saitek, Tannoy, Wilkinson Sword and Yamaha.
We believe in the value of working co-operatively with companies in complementary disciplines to create multi-skilled teams. These collaborations involve combining Factory Design's skills with market research, graphics, new media, ergonomics and interior design. Through a partner company Factory Works we are also able to provide comprehensive design engineering skills and low volume manufacture. This principal of collaboration extends to the working processes we adopt with our clients.
