I have recently finished my final year in Southampton Solent University, studying a BA (Hons) Interior Design (Decoration) and will be graduating later this year. I am looking to start working within the industry as soon as possible, and am eager to work with a professional interior design company. Although I have not had recent experience within interior design retail, I do have two years experience in a job role prior to my degree that enabled me to work with design and promotion. The experience I have within previous job roles, I have adapted to and enjoyed, this shows I am confident about learning new skills to fit in better with the work environment. I can draw and render to a high standard, including three-dimensional elevations and scale drawings. I am also intermediate (expert in some areas) in Vector Works, Photoshop and other appropriate Interior Design IT programs.
To join an experienced team of staff within a company would be an excellent opportunity for me and I would not only be extremely grateful, but also feel I could bring a sense of creativity and innovative design to any business.
Any queries regarding this notification can be answered through my email emilyjane05@live.co.uk, alternatively I can be contacted on 07827 816 612.

JHP have an opportunity in China that we require assistance with from London.
We require someone who is based in London and who is fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin. English of-course too. Most likely this person is a student who is studying a design degree. An understanding of the design sector is important, however we will educate the person on the specifics of the project and regarding JHP’s methodology and approach.
Essentially the person is to loosely perform the role of ‘Account Manager’.
They will be required to take and respond to the occasional call on their mobile from the client who is based in China, respond to emails, and relay this communication back to JHP in our studio in London. They may also get involved in translation of any key documents.
This role is not based at JHP and can be handled in the person’s free time.
It’s not a full-time role – but one which is very much responding to requests. It’s a potentially very interesting opportunity for a Chinese speaker based in London
All enquiries stating your credentials to apply for such a role should be emailed to austin.m@jhp-design.co.uk

We are offering a number of full time positions as product designers with starting salaries relevant to the candidate’s ability.
3fD is a small team that has been established for 10 years and we pride ourselves on delivering products that sell, not ego driven designs. Not only do we offer a typical design agency service but we manufacture products on behalf of our clients and are in the early stages of launching our own products/brand.
As such I seek designers that are not only visually gifted but have the engineering sensitivity to value the function and engineering.
The positions I am offering have no boundaries but there is an initial requirement;
- To be capable of expressing yourself artistically through 3D manipulation of solidworks
- To be responsible for the creative exploration (with team assistance) of a variety of projects that come through the door. Some of this will be jury rigs but most often 3D based visual design variants.
- To produce visual renderings from the 3D data.
- To produce the design intent for chosen designs to be engineering ready.
- Where appropriate and when required develop the design intent through engineering to produce engineering data for prototyping.

I am a Industrial Design student from Loughborough University, half way through a 4 year design degree, I am currently lookinf for a placement for a 2010/2011 starting in the summer months.
Some of my work to date can be found at:
http://www.coroflot.com/public/individual_details.asp?individual_id=308192&keywords=craig+thurston&c=1&
I was just wondering if your company would be interested in taking anyone on such a placement. I am looking to attain a placement for the coming year to further develop my skills, I enjoy team work and feel that I can contribute to any team. Personally I feel that my CAD skills have become strong and my ability to produce high quality renders is definitely one of my strongest areas, however I do still recognise that sketching is vital and is the area which I feel I get the best results and most enjoyment from.
I achieved a 2.1 in my first year, my personal design skills include sketching, Photoshop skills, making/modelling skills, user research, CAD (pro engineer with a good knowledge of surface modelling and CNC) and rendering packages such as alias image studio.
